Classified 100 AW Kit Launches

Designed to protect the most popular models of pro compact point-and-shoot cameras, the Classified 100 AW Kit offers consumers a stylish, practical and completely modular solution.

(Sebastopol, CA, May 15, 2009) – Lowepro, a product design company that builds protective gear for photography equipment and portable electronics, announces the launch of the Classified 100 AW Kit, a trio of modular bags designed for the enthusiast who travels by day or night—or around the world—with his or her pro compact point-and-shoot camera, accessories and essentials.

Lean, modern and multi-faceted, the appealing profiles and well-padded interiors serve up the perfect combination of modern design and thoughtful protection. The kit includes a shoulder bag, camera pouch and lens/accessory pouch that connect in a variety of ways via Lowepro's inventive SlipLock Link™ attachment system. The Classified 100 AW Kit quickly adjusts to suit any number of shooting, sightseeing or traveling situations.

The increasing popularity of pro compact point-and-shoot camera models inspired the Lowepro team to create a solution as streamlined and agile as the hardware designs. "We wanted to offer this consumer a stylishly modest, super-accessible and completely flexible option," said Tim Grimmer, Lowepro product manager. "The Classified 100 AW Kit is it," he added.

Luis Quehl, Lowepro product designer, tested the modularity and flexibility of the Classified 100 AW Kit on a recent trip to Paris. "Sometimes I went out with the two pouches attached to my belt; other times I wore the entire kit over my shoulder so I could sketch and photograph," said Quehl. "The kit was ideal for travel—super lightweight, versatile and stylish. It kept me looking sharp and less like a tourist when I snuck into the frame of a photo or two," he added.

The kit's removable, adjustable shoulder strap and 3-point harness system provide flexible carrying options and help minimize movement when maneuvering through a crowd or catching a bus, train or metro. The full-coverage flap on the shoulder bag covers the pouches for discreet protection or tucks into the front slip pocket for easy access to gear.

Additional Classified 100 AW Kit features include: an All Weather AW Cover™; quick-release buckle closures; leather handle and SlipLock™ attachment loop; see-through ID pocket; key clip; storage pockets; and a padded shoulder strap with camera keeper on shoulder bag. The Classified 30 pro compact camera pouch includes memory card pocket; plus an integrated belt loop and removable shoulder strap for dual carrying options.
